An Academic Playbook for Students Who Think Like Athletes
Five days each week we deliver sports-themed lessons and common-sense strategies that help students prepare for success in college and beyond.
Lead Instructor:
In addition to being a lifelong sports fanatic, Dr. Freeman is a writer-publisher with over 35,000,000 books in print and over 30 years of experience dispensing practical advice to help readers put their God-given talents to use.
You've got questions? We've got answers.
Our college prep courses focus, not only on getting students ready for college, but also on making things interesting for athletes and fans alike. So, the readings, the essays, the math problems, and even the vocabulary-building exercises help students learn more about the greatest players, teams, and coaches from the world of sports.
For sure we focus on the academic skills that are needed to succeed in college.
But that's not all.
We also address proven ways to be a winner in the game called life. We do so by sharing timely tips and timeless advice from a variety of sources, including but not limited to, sports legends.
First, students sign up either a free "Starting Five" plan or for a paid membership. Then, when students log into our site, they are directed to their own dashboard. All available content can be accessed through each student's dashboard.
Of course. No penalties. No strings attached. No hard feelings. Game over.
Usually, our daily lessons include:
A "Thought for the Day" from the world of sports
A reading-comprehension essay about a sports hero, or a coach, or a team.
A daily grammar or communication tip.
A vocabulary-building exercise related to the above-mentioned essay.
A college-level math or financial tip.
Additional videos and essays to fill out an academic hour.
Closing Remarks
Our lead instructor is Dr. Criswell Freeman, a Doctor of Clinical Psychology. For the past three decades, he's served as publisher and lead writer for three independent publishing ventures, all of which he co-founded. Currently, in addition to his responsibilities at SportsPage College Prep, he's also a partner and the lead writer for Smith-Freeman Publishing.
No problem. We keep our daily classes online all week long, so you can catch up on weekends if you need to. And besides, we keep pumping out new lessons every week.
